Review
Microsoft Livelabs PhotoSynth is a great way of sharing your photos online.
It makes use of 3D to display your photographs.
For this one, you will have to take many photographs about your subject, for example your room. Take as many pictures you can of your room at varying angles. Just make sure you took many pictures (maybe 25 or 100). Install the program and go to its website "http://photosynth.net" and click "create synth".
After uploading all your photos, the program will automatically generate the 3D view from your photos.
This program is really great. It makes use, the relations between the photos you have given to it. You may take photos from near and far ends to create that reality effect when you zoom in to the photo. You don't have to think of anything, just take the pictures of any number you need and add it to the program. The rest is all magic.
One thing you need to make sure is that the photos should not be upside down! Means, a computer program doesn't have the brains to decide whether a picture is inverted or not!
Their goal is a 3D library of photographs. Think if we all, from all over the world uploaded their photographs. |
- Automatic 3D view generation.
|
- Pictures are public.
- Needs broadband.
- Is slow with Internet Explorer.
